Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who needs to pay the organizational fee?

Adults from 23 years onwards: € 25 per day, € 200 for the whole festival, stay for 5 days: € 100.

Young adults (18 to 22 years): € 15 per day, € 110 for the whole festival, stay for 5 days: € 60.

On the first day of the festival (Thursday, 28thJuly) no organization fee applies; on the last day of the festival (Sunday, 7th August) adults pay € 15 and young adults pay € 5.

For children and teenagers up to and including 17 years: participation is free.

Donations go towards relief projects.

This fee will be used towards financing the organization of the Celebrate Life Festival (e.g. technical equipment, travel expenses and accommodation of speakers and workshop leaders)

2. What do the organization fees get used for? How can I contribute to the benefit character of the festival?

The contributions to the festival are used to finance the organization of the festival: technical and hall equipment, flights, travel expenses and partial payment for overnight stay of the speakers and artists, who in the meantime are becoming more and more international.

Further costs are: the Webpage, flyers, advertising, partial payment for overnight stays of the team, as well as expense allowances for the team for the organization of the festival.

By paying the organisation fees and contributing to the donation campaigns during the festival, you support projects in Third World countries and in Germany. These projects again reach out to people who do not have the opportunity to participate in this festival or other events, and nonetheless also benefit.

4. Can I cater for myself during the Festival?

In principle it is possible to provide your own food. However, a per diem fee of €36 per person has to be paid in any case for Hof Oberlethe, covering the cost of the workshop facilities; this includes food and the whole infrastructure of Hof Oberlethe.

5. Is it necessary to register for childcare?

We have childcare provision for children from 3 years onwards (for children ready to go to kindergarden), daily from 10:15 to 13:30 in the mornings and 18:00 to 19:00 in the afternoons, at a cost of € 6 per child and per day. Children who are to take part in the childcare programme need to be registered with:

6. Is there a special programme for teenagers and young adults?

There is a youth camp during the entire festival. This is divided into two groups: young people between the ages of approx. 8 and 13 years old, and another group for approx. 14 to 20 year olds (the actual assessment takes place locally and with the child carers).

7. What will a festival of this size be like?

Next to a very varied Festival programme there will be small sharing groups of about 8 people who accompany and support each other during the time of the Festival. A well-developed infrastructure provides smooth operation during the meals and also guarantees sufficient sanitary facilities.
